·         Ensuring timely delivery of research projects through adequate work-flow planning and organizing

Equity Research Summer Internship Description (Live Project) 2018 

The Money Roller is a Financial Research and Analytics Firm. We are on the lookout for fresh minds, who would be trained to do financial research, using our methodology! 

Why does The Money Roller require fresh minds? Our Research Approach 

Like every year this year as well The Money Roller has come up with a Summer Project which is been popular among B-School Students to shape up a career in Finance and especially Equity Research. 

Live Project details: Considering the recent turn of Events such as:  Union Budget 2018-19  Lok Sabha Election 2019  Markets in Euphoria (Nifty PE above 28, Very high Valuations): Research on Defensive Sectors TMR is planning to carry out in-depth research on the impact and effects of the above events on Indian Equity Markets. There could be additional topics depending on what kind of research is required to be done at the time. 

To achieve the mentioned objectives, students will have to work on the following lines:  Identification of opportunities and ideas that are investible and preparing a detailed research on the niche sector allotted using top-down research approach.  The student will be given set of deliverables every week with a deadline.  The mentor will host weekly webinars and discuss the research methodology and various case studies based on which the assignments have to be completed.  The project is of extreme importance, so the student has to strictly adhere to the deadlines. Failing to meet the deadline will mean a report to your placement committee and debarment from the program. 

How will this project help you as a candidate, if selected?  At the end of the project, the student will be able to carry out equity research as per industry requirements and professional standards and have detailed insights about the sector allotted to them.  The student will get ‘Certificate of Internship’ on completion of Project and all Assignments.  TMR also offers placement assistance to partner companies for Students who have met our Research Team’s Expectations.  In past, our project has really helped students in getting final placements as we cover industry standard equity research.  We request you to send us the profiles of those students who are interested in the project and can commit 8 weeks for this project.

Selection Procedure:  For selection, the students will have to go through a two-round of the selection process. 1. Students have to appear for an online test (the details of the test will be emailed to the college). 2. Students will be shortlisted based on the test and the profile as per the requirement of TMR, TMR team would also conduct personal Interview if required.  We request the placement committee to provide the college computer LAB so that all the students can give the test at the same time. 

Details:  This is an 8 Weeks project and we would be running this project in 3 batches 1. 1 st Week of April (April-May Batch) 2. 1 st Week of May (May-June Batch) 3. 1 st Week of June (June-July Batch)  Students can join any of the above-mentioned batches.  This is work from home project and all deliverables will be given to the students either through a webinar or through email.
