 Business Development Executive

Location: Kolkata

Require: Fresh Graduate -B.Com / BBA / M.Com or any graduate having experience/knowledge in marketing fields

CTC: Rs. 3 - 5 Lakhs pa

We focus on independent and boutique properties as well as chains and B&Bs and listen to their needs to craft a deal that is going to get them the customers that they want, when they want them. Out with the old ways of features that serve as price comparisons. We’re in the business of featuring the hotels for everything they are—opportunities for our subscribers to make life less boring. Emphasis is on existing business and formation of long-term partnerships as we look to feature properties when they find themselves in a need season.


General Responsibilities:
Get Travel deals from a handpicked set of travel partners in India & negotiate the absolute best rates and inventory available for the subscribers of Groupon India. Leverage current connections and related experience in sales to build alliances with hotel partners. Work to find the best solution using high financial acumen, strong sales process and creative solutions
Know your market with unmatched on-the-ground expertise and secure appropriate supply and industry partners based on trends and seasons. Prospect, consult with, and close relationships with lodging suppliers of all types, obtaining compelling deals on travel experiences for Groupon subscribers. Be held to revenue goals and seek to identify new and creative travel packages that will build toward this revenue goal.
Measure revenue, P&L, market share, and competitor ranking, and consistently beat expectations.
Requirements: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in top notch hotels. Experience canvassing and cold-calling into businesses, including negotiations with director and above level contacts.
Strong interpersonal and social skills.
Network of contacts in the relevant sector is a definite bonus.
Positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation are all essential.
