Position Summary:
Education Planner is the front line Sales cadre role. This person will be required to achieve defined sales targets in the assigned area. The person will be responsible for selling Insurance Policies to the parents of assigned school- residing in the nearby areas.
It is a part time job- with flexible working hours. The person will come to office every day for an hour- and thereafter complete 4 appointments (one hour each) every day- at mutually convenient time. The person will also support 4 lead generation activities in a month- along with Manager- School relationships.

Shiksha Uday started in December 2009 as a pilot, and currently has 4 units spread across Delhi/ NCR, Chandigarh and Kolkatta- with total team strength of ~ 40 employees. This channel is headed by the National Head- Affinity Sales, who, in turn, has 3 Managing Partners and 1 Associate Partner reporting into him. With a business turnover of over 1 crore since its inception, this channel has big plans of expansion for the year 2012.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Working on sales leads provided by the Manager- School Relationships and closing them successfully.
2. Supporting the Manager- School Relationships for any lead generation/ relationship building activities in the assigned schools.
3. To proactively generate additional references from the leads provided by the Manager- School Relationships.
4. To ensure good quality of business – Responsible for ethical / compliant selling and facilitate renewal collections
5. Prepare and share Sales Reports on a pre-agreed schedule

Ideal candidate profile
1. Fresh Graduate or Final Year students (Any Discipline)
2. No prior experience is required- However candidates with 1-3 years of prior sales experience will be preferred.
3. Preferably women candidates- interested in part time working-
4. Those who are motivated by money- a potential to earn ~ 25000 per month.
5. Housewives wanting to get back to work.
6. Wards of School staff/ teachers/ parents of the school children will be preferred.
7. Local candidates only- should know the local language fluently
8. Women Life Insurance Agents (of Leading Companies) who are willing to forego their license / who are agents for more than 5 years.
9. Book fair assistants/ education counselors with Education products companies like Scholastic; Grollier; Educomp.

1. Good communication skills
2. Selling skills: Ability to take appointments; follow-up persistently and close successfully.
3. Pleasing personality- high on energy and initiative
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Entrepreneurial- with drive for results
