 3-5 months internship with us as a reporter & PR. This will be a paid internship. 

1. For pr Intern - JOB DESCRIPTION:

They will assist Public Relations Manager in planning, coordinating and executing public relations activities and events:

• Help develop and manage press lists (database).
• Assist in managing media relations.
• Coordinate special events and program's.
• Draft press releases, talking points, and related materials.
• Assist with other PR functions/duties as required: press events; setting up press interviews.
• Follow up with reporters, provide requested materials, research, contact info etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Pursuing PR, journalism, mass communications.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Have the ability to coordinate calendar, meetings, special projects (as needed), etc.
• Must be very organized, multi-task and flexible.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Person should be enthusiastic, articulate, poised, and professional

2. FOR intern Reporter  - JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Writing copy for publication on a tight deadline (if required)
• Building contacts and sources for use in future stories
• Fact-checking the information given to you by a source
• Follow current events, always looking for a story opportunity
• Pitch story ideas to editors and producers
• Able to work within a tight deadline
• Must be able to work well alone or in a team
• Stay up to date with privacy, contempt and defamation laws (preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Pursuing mass communications, journalism.
