The Social Informatics Research Group, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is working on a project named “Social Inclusion through Digital Inclusion” addressing two key issues: disparate quality of education in India and lack of opportunities for elderly in society. In this context, the Project has architected an online Social Knowledge Management Platform named “OwlishOracle” to disseminate quality learning among children from all parts of India by elderly who are knowledgeable but not engaged in any meaningful activities. .
We are looking for interns for a period of three months to help us in conducting an experimental study to explore possibility of using such social media based platform to connect elderly teachers with children who are in need of quality learning.
